Depending on your path in the game you will be awarded a title. Should you decide to change your ways your title will also change.
It should be noted that the bonuses apply to your alter-ego commander
You can only have one title at a time. However your title can change by doing a different course of action. Say you were a wholesaler and you began to research a lot, then your title will being to be "dismantled" and first you will be a wholesaler, then a dealer and then eventually you will be a researcher. The change isnt instant.
An example of how to earn the Trader titles:
Lets say you want to be a trader and want the titles
So we will take all your work done (WD) as 100% (trading, research, battles)
So if you have done less than 25% of your total WD on trading then you wont have a title.
If you have done 25% to 49% of your total WD on trading you will have the title Trader.
if you have done 50% to 74% of your total WD on trading then you will have the title Wholesaler.
If you have greater than 75% of your total WD on trading then you will have the title Intergalactic trader.
The titles provide an advantage in that area.
